The test involves a finger prick of blood and the glucose result is obtained in a couple of minutes. This test WILL NOT tell you if you are diabetic, but after obtaining the result and a discussion about signs and symptoms we can establish your tendency towards risk of diabetes and can make a referral to your GP for a GTT (glucose tolerance test) if necessary.
